Background: AVRO (Algemene Vereniging Radio Omroep) was one of the oldest and most popular Dutch TV and radio programme makers, specialising in popular programmes such as shows, plays, quizzes, series, drama and youth programmes. It was founded in 1927. However, it ended in 2014 when it and TROS joined themselves to form AVROTROS.

Logo: On a black background, there is a part of a ball machine, with a pendulem constantly diverting balls in which ram into it. On the right side of the screen is the logo for AVRO at the time, which is "avro" in a abstract font.

FX/SFX: Live action, which is pretty cool for the time.

Music/Sounds: A series of zaps in different pitches set against a horn. This ends with 3 zaps in a fixed order

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: The unintentionally dark nature of the logo, along with the music, will scare more then some.

2nd Logo
(1969-1977)

<iframe align="right" frameborder="0" height="230" src="http://wikifoundrytools.com/wiki/closinglogos/widget/youtubevideo/00598784d5f3afbf12907ea9d5ae81530543758d" width="408"></iframe>
Logo: On a black background, two chevrons made of the AVRO logo in changing colors sliding and intersecting across each other. Another pair closer to the screen then slide in and a blue light appears in the center of the screen. 3 AVRO logos then rush towards the screen in random places and two pairs of rings wipe in, getting smaller towards the center, and rotate out of sync. The "avro" text in outlines then quickly appear and form circles, in which everything clear out to reveal a yellow AVRO logo zooming in quickly to the center of the screen, in which it slows down dramatically.

FX/SFX: The arrows and logos zooming in.

Music/Sounds: A loud trumpet fanfare.

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: The psychedelicnature of this logo and fanfare may spook some, but it's just dated and very ugly.

FX/SFX: Live-action

An evening of AVRO, this complements the clean-up.
Een avondje AVRO, daar blijf je van thuis
An evening of AVRO, for that you keep yourself at home.
