Logo descriptions by PAV123

Background: Data Design Interactive was a British game developer, founded by Stewart Green in 1983. The company became infamous for gearing out ill-made titles, most of which, merely being re-skins of one another. The UK office ceased trading in 2009.

1st Logo
(1994-1997)

Logo: On a space background, the word "DATA" (represented through abstract shapes) fades in on an angle and turns upright. As it does so, the letters of the word "DESIGN" move under "DATA", along with two red squares and triangles. Once they come together, the text "InterActive" wipes in beneath "DESIGN" and the text "A" and "production" fade in on the top and bottom of the logo respectively.

FX/SFX: The movement of the text and shapes, the appearance of the text. Standard animation for the time.

Music/Sounds: A whoosh noise, followed by a synthesized bang, along with a voice over, saying the company name.

Availability: Follows the Eidos Interactive logo on Conquest Earth and also seen on X-It and Rise of the Robots.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo
(1998-2009)

Nickname: "The Brain"

Logo: On a black background, a side-view topography image of the human brain tinted orange fades in. The text "d a t a d e s i g n" appears along with "interactive", each beneath the sketch. The above text is encased in a hard to see circular outline. Finally an abstract "ddi" zooms onto the brain above the text, and a faint spotlight forms behind the brain. Everything stays on screen for about four seconds before fading out.

Variant(s): A still version of this logo was found on LEGO Rock Raiders.

FX/SFX: The brain fading in, the appearance of the text, the "ddi" symbol zooming out.

Music/Sounds: Two humming noises, followed by six synth beeps. The last four are played simultaneously. A higher pitched version of this logo exists.

Availability: Seen on later games, namely those for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and Wii, such as Anubis II, Nickelodeon Party Blast, and Billy the Wizard: Rocket Broomstick Racing. First appearance was spotted on LEGO Chess.
