Background: TV-Loonland (formerly TMO Loonland) was a German animation company. In 2000, they acquired the television arm of Sony Wonder, which included Sunbow Entertainment and it's catalog and later on purchased British home video company Metrodome Distribution. In 2008, Hasbro acquired the rights to the Marvel/Sunbow animated series based on there properties (The Transformers, G.I. Joe, etc.) from TV-Loonland. A year later, the company filed for bankruptcy and in 2011 it was acquired by fellow German company m4e (Made For Entertainment) AG, a division of Belgian-based Studio 100.

(November 30, 1998-2009)

TV Loonland (2003)TV-Loonland (1999)[Untitled]

Logo: On a white background, we see a blue dome zoom out while a yellow rectangle shows up. Then the words TV-LOONLAND AG" appear. After the logo forms, a sheep falls down and lands on the dome.

Early Variant
: The "TV" is replaced with "TMO"; this variant also has the text in a different font, not in italics and with "LOONLAND" lighter-colored than "TMO". TMO Loonland was TV-Loonland AG's former name.

Variants:
  • A still variant on a black background exists.
  • Sometimes, the word AG is removed.
  • There is an in-credit version.

FX/SFX: CGI animation. On the still variant, just the logo fading in and out.

Music/Sounds: Some wind sounds, followed by loud sheep "BAA!" sounds. Sometimes, it is the closing theme of the show or none.

Availability: Rare.
  • The TMO variant appears on Fat Dog Mendoza, Babar: King of the Elephants as well as Season 3 of The Little Lulu Show.
  • The in-credit variant was seen on Pat and Stan.
  • The standard version appears as a de-facto Home Video logo on many british Metrodome Distribution releases of TV-Loonland material, as well as on episodes of Connie the Cow. A shortened version appears on Henry's World.
  • The Still version appears at the end of some prints of Sunbow's Hasbro cartoons as well as on The Cramp Twins, Hoze Hounds, Redwall and the movie Donner.

Editor's Note: The animation in this logo is choppy and looks cheap.
