1st Logo
(July 1985-December 21, 1987)
Variant: There is a still variant with a copyright date chyroned in.
FX/SFX: Everything.
Music/Sounds: A majestic fanfare.
Availability: Rare, seen on B-movies and other obscurities released by this company during the mid-to-late 80s.
Editor's Note: The building is obviously a model, and a poorly-made one at that.
2nd Logo
(1987-1996)
Logo: On a dark blue space background, we see a bright burst of light. Then the Academy star logo zooms in, rotating in 3D as it does so. When it reaches the centre of the screen, a flash appears behind it. The text ACADEMY ENTERTAINMENT (with a line between the words) flips in from the bottom. Then the words "shine" and a sparkle appears on the "Y" in ACADEMY. Then we fade out.
Variants:
FX/SFX: The flashing and flipping of the CGI star.
Music/Sounds: Two chords when the star rotates in, another one when the star flashes and ACADEMY flips in, three more chords, and then a glittery sound when the words shine. For the ending logo, until 1993, the tail end of this music played. For the semi-still logo, no music was heard.
Availability: Seen on very cheesy horror movies, and other films like Hangmen, Boris and Natasha: The Movie, American Shaolin: King of the Kickboxers II, White Light, The Living End, Lonely in America, Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence, Becoming Colette, One Man Force, Doom Asylum, Terror at Red Wolf Inn, Bloody New Year, The Big Slice, Apartment Zero, Flesh Eating Mothers, Grandma's House, Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare, Scavengers, After School, Mirror Mirror, Shock 'em Dead, American Tiger, Silent Witness, The Neighbor (preserved on the 2003 Platinum Disc DVD of said film), Iron Maze, Victim of Love, Rebel High, Firehouse, Goofballs, Concrete Angels, Last Man Standing (AKA: Circle Man), Prayer of the Rollerboys, Edge of Honor, Glitch!, and Match Girl.
Editor's Note: This is a top notch logo for the time.

Logo: On a sunset background (with stars shooting outward, for some strange reason) with two searchlights (like the KingWorld logo), we zoom out on a Roman-like structure. A flash of light brings forth the ACADEMY HOME ENTERTAINMENT text, carved in stone, set upon the structure, which now has spotlights moving around on it. Then ACADEMY HOME ENTERTAINMENT, with a "shadow" effect, zooms in, and we are left with a white print logo on a blue background, with the roof of the structure missing. Variant: There is a still variant with a copyright date chyroned in.

Variants:
- On some tapes, mainly releases from 1992 until 1996, a semi-still logo was used. The "star" fades in onto a blue gradient background, shines, and then ACADEMY ENTERTAINMENT fades in. Starting in mid-to-late 1993, this logo became the main logo for Academy.
- On the end of Academy tapes until 1993, ACADEMY ENTERTAINMENT flips in, then a copyright date (in Roman numerals) fades in below.
