1st Logo
(1997-2002)

DVCC Digital Video Compression CenterLogo: On a black background, we see a dark lime green rectangle with the cut-out call letters "dvcc". Above the logo is "DVD Production Services By:" and below it is "Digital Video Compression Center", "Universal City, California", and, in a smaller size, the URL "http://www.dvcc.com", stacked on top of each other, respectively.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Fairly common. This logo mostly appears on some DVDs mainly from Universalsuch as The Little Rascals, Jurassic Park, Jaws, 1941, National Lampoon's Animal House, among others. It was also used on some Fox DVDs as well such as the first 3 Home Alone films and the 2001 Die Hard: Ultimate Collection box set
. It was also used on a few MGM DVDs such as the 1997 DVDs of Goldeneye and The Black Stallion and the 2001 Special Edition DVDs of Rocky, The Princess Bride, and The Terminator. Strangely, this was not used on the 1998 Universal DVD releases of The Breakfast Club, Uncle Buck or any Universal DVDs distributed by Image Entertainment such as Firestarter, Weird Science, Midnight Run and Sixteen Candles. Also appeared on PolyGram DVDs such as Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Clay Pigeons, Misery, and The Big Lebowski, among others. It has also been spotted on the 2001 DVD of Almost Famous by DreamWorks. One of the last releases to use this logo was the 2002 DVD of The Abyss: Special Edition.

Editors Note: None.

2nd Logo
(August 21,2001-October 12, 2004)

Logo: On a black background, we see a green metallic rectangle pan up, while a laser carves through it. The laser fills the screen, causing a 2nd shot of the rectangle to pop up. We see a flash of white light behind the rectangle, a carved out "D", and the laser carving out a "V". We then fade to a 3rd shot. We see a "C" carved out right next to the "V", and now we see the laser carving out another C. Then, we see the final product zooming out, as it rests in the center of the screen.
"Digital Video Compression Center" fades in below.

FX/SFX: The logo being carved by a laser.

Music/Sounds: A laser writing sound appears, then a rhythmic tune plays before it gets tense.
