Logo description and capture by Logophile

Background: This was the production company of actor/comedian Drew Carey.

(October 7, 2004-November 8, 2005, April 11, 2011-June 3, 2011)

Logo: On a black and gray gradient background is the black and white drawing of an upper half of a big man in a suit. He has his fist clenched and is smoking a cigar (with smoke billowing from it). Under him is the letters "I M T V". After a moment, the letters raise up and turns into the text "INTERNATIONAL MAMMOTH International Mammoth TelevisionTELEVISION".

Trivia: This logo was animated by Acme Filmworks in Hollywood, CA.

Variant: On Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza, the text is an in-credit that doesn't feature the man and is shown on the lower left-hand corner on any end-title scene.

FX/SFX: The words rising and changing, the cigar.

Music/Sounds: Two low drum-beats with a deep-voiced man singing a three-note opera ditty and sound of a boxing-bell is heard when the words raise. Another version (presumably used for demo purposes) has a proud, bombastic horn fanfare, reminiscent of the 1936 Universal Pictures logo. This can be viewed here.

Availability: Extinct. The animated version was seen on Drew Carey's Green Screen Show, which hasn't been reran since 2005. The in-credit version is seen on
Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza whenever GSN decides to air it.

Editor's Note: The drums and the opera singer combined with the man (who does not look like he's the greatest guy in the world) won't bode well with some people.
