Background: M6, also known as Metropole Television, is the most profitable private national French TV channel and the third most watched television network in the French-speaking world. M6 is the head channel of the M6 Group media empire that owns several TV channels, magazines, publications, movie production and media-related firms etc. It is owned by RTL Group.

(1990-2003)

Logo: It's just a random montage of the M6 logo dancing and de-merging via kaleidoscope effect. A closing variant of the logo plays this montage backwards.

Variant: A shorter variant that was used at the end of produced shows features the M6 logo in a different animation. The M is turning 360 degrees before maintaining its position, while the 6 just zooms out.

FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: The animation looks quite primitive. It looks like it could be an old DOS/Windows screensaver.

Music/Sounds: A catchy, calming and soothing synth orchestra tune that consists of bells, violins, and percussion. The production variant used a groovy pop variation of the theme, complete with accompanied vocal percussion.

Availability: Extinct. Was used as a channel ID for 13 years. The short variant was used as a production logo and was seen on Gadget Boy.

Scare Factor: Low. It depends on what you think about the zooming 6's and the large dancing M in the background. However, it is deemed a favorite among the French logo community.
