Mattel Playground Productions

Background: Mattel Playground Productions is an entertainment company owned by Mattel, formed to produce series and movies based off their properties.

1st Logo
(2013-2016)

Logo: On a white background, we see the Mattel logo. The logo zooms out to reveal that it is moving around on a line, holding a red rectangle which reads "PLAY". The rectangle and the Mattel logo bounces up to the middle of the screen, along with the line, which is revealed to actually be another red rectangle that reads "GROUND" (with a play button in the "O"). "PRODUCTIONS" slides in below. The Mattel logo then spins around once.

Variants:

• Sometimes, the ending part where the logo spins is removed.
• A still version exists, sometimes on a black background. Sometimes the still logo just fades in.
• On Team Hot Wheels: The Origin of Awesome, the Mattel logo (without the shape) is turned vertical.

FX/SFX: 2D animation. The fading or none on the still version.

Music/Sounds: Grunting and bouncing sounds, and some sort of laughing at the end.

Music/Sounds Variants:

• The version that removes the part where the logo spins has no laughing at the end.
• On the still version, either the ending theme plays or the logo is silent.

Availability: Can be seen on CGI episodes of the Polly Pocket web series, and other shows and films. The still version can be found on Barbie and the Secret Door. The black background version can be found on Max Steel and Monster High: Frights, Camera, Action!. It was last used on Monster High: Great Scarrier Reef, as this has been switched to the Mattel and Mattel Creations logos on newer films.

Scare Factor: Minimal to none.
