Print Logos - Universal Studios

1st Print Logo
(1914, 1920-1923)

Logo: We see the detailed globe with a Saturn ring around it. "UNIVERSAL FILMS" and "TRADEMARK" are seen on the globe.

2nd Print Logo

(1914?-1919?)

Logo: We see a outline of a circular rectangle with a circle merged with it, inside is "UNIVERSAL" and "MOVING PICTURES" is sandwiched in between.

3rd Print Logo

(1914-1920)

Logo: We see a ring with "THE TRANS-ATLANTIC FILM CO LTD" on it, surrounding the circle with "UNIVERSAL FILMS" arched on it, and inside is "TRADE MARK".

4th Print Logo
(1923-1927)

Logo: We see the drawing of a globe with "UNIVERSAL PICTURES" in front in a ring.

5th Print Logo

(1927-1936)


Logo: We see a circle with "UNIVERSAL PICTURES" arched around the drawing of the globe.

6th Print Logo

(1936-1946)

Logo: We see the very detailed drawing of the globe with a black ring containing "UNIVERSAL PICTURES" surrounding it.

7th Print Logo

(1946-1960)

Logo: We see the extremely detailed drawing of the globe with "Universal International" in front of it.

8th Print Logo

(1960-1963)

Logo: Same concept as before, but the words are bigger and the globe is showing the Americas.

9th Print Logo

(1963-1990)

Logo: We see the squared shaped "U" containing the wireframe globe in it.


Notes:

• The square shaped "U" can be a normal box.
• The wireframe globe can be smaller in the squared "U".

10th Print Logo
(1990-1997)

Logo: We see the drawn detailed globe with wireframes for the sea. "UNIVERSAL" is seen in front of it, and "AN MCA COMPANY" is seen below it.

Note: For the logo first year, the globe is redrawn slightly, "UNIVERSAL" is outlined, and "75th ANNIVERSARY" in same style as the movie logo, is seen on top.



11th Print Logo
(1997-2012)

Logo: We see two arcs that represent the globe and inside are the abstract drawn Americas."UNIVERSAL" is seen in front of it.

Variant: Colors can be inverted






























12th Print Logo

(2012-)

Logo: We see two arcs that like in the previous print logo, represent the globe, and inside are the Americas and Europe. "UNIVERSAL" is seen in front of it, and "A COMCAST COMPANY" is seen below it.

Note: For the logo's first year, "100TH ANNIVERSARY" is added underneath the "UNIVERSAL" text.
