Background:Renato Aragão Produções Artísticas is a self-owned production company founded in 1977 by Brazilian comedian, actor, writer and producer, Renato Aragão. Aragão produced a series of parody spoofs (like Brazilian Star Wars, Planet of the Apes, Wizard of Oz, etc.), slapstick comedy and adventure films under the Os Trapalhões franchise from 1979-2017. Though in some of the films released between 1983 and 1990, members of theOs Trapalhões comedy duo, Dedé Santana, Mussum and Zacarias, formed their own production company,DemuzaProduções, in 1979, for they and Renato Aragão split up during their 1983 crisis involving the duo themselves. Demuza ran until 1990 when one of the members, Zacarias, died in the same year, resulting to its debt problems and ceased operations. Meanwhile, Renato Aragão continued operating his headquarters throughout the years with his movies and TV programs that he starred in, and has fulfilled a well-known name for his career in Brazilian cinema.1st Logo

Logo: On a black background with neon purple lights moving away from us, we see four metal sticks connected together in a circular position. The sticks hit the end of the horizon, and a lens flare appears, making the sticks disappear. A 3D "R" writes in, as well as an "A", with the left line sticking out, kind of like a tablet stand. Then, "Renato", in all capital letters, with smaller letters in the further direction, zooms to the R on the left, while "Aragão", also in all capital letters, zooms to the A on the right. After the Renato R and the Aragão O finish zooming, "Produções" zooms out, followed by "apresenta". The logo flashes.
Trivia: Even though the 'RA' logo can be spotted as an in-print variant in the 1970'sOsTrapalhões movie posters, it wasn't traditionally animated until 1983 by Ilimitada Ltda. in Rio De Janiero.
FX/SFX: Not too pretty compared to today's standards. It was good for the time, however.
Music/Sounds: A low synth note throughout, followed by an eleven-note harp theme.
Availability: Rare. Can be seen on releases by the company, and on some '80s OsTrapalhõesfilms on DVD.
Editor's Note:Due to it's quality and nature, the logo itself is moderately chilling and it doesn't age well to today's standards.
2nd Logo
(1990-1991)
Logo: Both the 3D 'RA' still logo and the text fade in and out on a black background.
FX/SFX: Simple fade-in and out effects
Music/Sounds: The first logo played with the film's intro, and the second one is silent
Availability: Can be found only on Uma Escola Atrapalhada (1990) andOs Trapalhõese a Árvoreda Juventude (1991)
Editor's Note: With a newly updated design, it's more tamer than it's predecessor.
3rd Logo
(1997)
Logo: Both the 3D 'RA' still logo and the text fade in and out on a blue gradient background.
FX/SFX: Another still logo with fade-in effects
Music/Sounds: The opening score of the film.
Availability: Only seen onO Noviço Rebelde (1997)
Editor's Note: The way this variant is presented can be as resembling as any Mexican studio logo due to its usage of gradient effects on the logo and text.
4th Logo
(1998-1999)
Logo: The metallic 3D 'RA' logo zooming out of the screen, and the text shines in the first note of the theme music.
FX/SFX: The chrome effects and the gradient on the RA logo looks like it would have been seen between the late 80s and early 90s.
Music/Sounds: A quick suspenseful and booming piece of music was played throughout the logo.
Availability: This can be seen in two films,Simão, o Fantasma Trapalhão(1998) andO Trapalhão e a Luz Azul (1999)
Editor's Note:This logo variant has some animation since the 80s, but done simpler.
5th Logo
(2006-2008)
Logo: The lighter 3D 'RA' logo zooming in the black background, and the text appears one by one before the blue spotlight shines behind the 'RA' logo. Then, a lens flare shines underneath the text, and the logo fades out.
FX/SFX: The simplicity to the animation looked like its done on a basic video editing software.
Music/Sounds: A somewhat oriental like theme with electrical sound effects played in the logo.
Availability: This can be seen in two films,O Cavaleiro Didi e a Princesa Lili (2006) andO Guerreiro Didi e a Ninja Lili (2008)
Editor's Note: Knowing that it's the latest 'RA' logo that's used to date, it's more laid back and tamed like it's previous predecessor.
