Background: Sega Technical Institute was an internal studio of Sega based in United States. It was closed in 1997 after the Sonic X-Treme fiasco, and some of the staff went to Luxoflux.

Nicknames: "The Lightbulb", "The Sega Lightbulb", "The STI Lightbulb"
Logo: Against a white background, there is a black box with a working lightbulb inside, emitting several electric zaps. Under the box, we see "SEGA TECHNICAL INSTITUTE" written in three lines with "SEGA" bigger than the rest of the letters. The whole logo is outlined with red border. The words, "A" and "Production" are shown above and below the logo respectively.
Variant: On The Ooze, The logo is green and made out of green ooze against the ground background . Plus, "A" and "Production" are not there.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: The opening theme of the game.
