Nickname: "The Chains"

Logo: On a grey background, we see three chains (left and right in white, the center one in black) forming. The letters "A", "F", and "M" appears inside the chains respectively. The word "ALLIED FILM MAKERS present" or "an ALLIED FILM MAKERS presentation" appears under the chains.

Variant: The early version of this logo had the chains already formed and only a kettledrums arrangement of their jingle music.

FX/SFX: The animation of the chains.

Music/Sounds: Bells and kettledrums synchronized to the animation.

Availability: Rare. Has turned up on a recent Fox Classics airing of The League of Gentlemen.

Alive Films

(January 13, 1984-November 1, 1991)

Nicknames: "The Script", "ALIVE"

Logo: On a black background, we see a zoom-out of letters, first an "A" in white, an "L" in black, an "I" in white, "V" in black and "E" in white, then we see a zoom out of the "ALIVE" word, colored as if with color pencil from colors from blue to yellow. Then it colors fully and the word "FILMS" on a handwriting font zooms-out at the same time as it writes. Then two lines appears under "ALIVE" and under "FILMS".

Variants:

A still in-credit variant appears in the opening credits of the Wes Craven film Shocker and The Whales of August.
On earlier films such as Trouble in Mind, The logo starts out with the word "ALIVE" zooming out. This time the logo is a purple and blue color. The animation is the same as before.

FX/SFX: The zoom-out of the logo.

Music/Sounds: None, but sometimes a new age synth theme was used, or the closing theme of the movie.

Availability: Rare. Can be seen on 1987 Charter Entertainment and Nelson Entertainment VHS releases and television prints of Red Headed Stranger and the Nelson Entertainment VHS release of The Moderns.

Ancla Century Films (Spain)

Logo: Just an in-credit text saying "Es una Producción ANCLA CENTURY FILMS" with a copyright byline below.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the movie.

Availability: Extremely rare. It's seen on some horror movies from this time frame, such as Zombie Flesh Eater and Mark of the Devil 5: Return of the Blind Dead.

Nickname: "The ARC"

Logo: On a starry background, we see an stylized 3D "ARC" yellow lettering zooming from outer space (leaving a 3D trail, very similar to the 1978 Associated Film Distribution logo, see below). Then the words "ARTISTS RELEASING CORPORATION" appear.

FX/SFX: The computer-generated animation of the letters zooming in.

Music/Sounds: A majestic and dreamy fanfare.

Availability: Seen on the 1984 Vestron Video and possibly the the 1990 Avid Home Entertainment VHS releases (due to the latter maybe being a reprint) of Mortuary and The House on Sorority Row.

Clear Blue Sky Productions

Nickname: "The Standing Man"

Logo: We see a blue light on an oval as we are looking up the front of a man standing up. We then zoom away from it as the oval changes to an orange color (similar to the Sun). Once the oval and man are in position, the words "clear blue sky PRODUCTIONS" moves upwards under it.

FX/SFX: The movement of the text, the changing of the color and the zooming out.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Was seen on Titus and The Luzhin Defense. Also appeared on the trailers for said films.

Daybreak Pacific Films (New Zealand)

Logo: We start over a night sky and follow a comet shooting down to the sky. Other comets hit the water and create small lighted areas, which together form a row with "DAYBREAK PACIFIC FILMS" fading in. Then the sun rises, turning landscape into daylight.

FX/SFX: The action in the logo.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Uncommon. Seen on Ozzie and Treasure Island Kids.

Defy Media

Background: Defy Media is a YouTube-based company. Part of its claim to fame is funding for big YouTubers, such as Smosh (their first acquired brand) and Screen Junkies, plus websites like Addicting Games, Shockwave, and GameFront. They didn't get a proper logo until 2015. On November 6, 2018, the company ceased operations after its assets were frozen by creditors.

(June 15, 2015-November 6, 2018)

Logo: We see a purple glow glowing from the center of a black background on the screen. Suddenly, we see what appears to be lines of code. Then, all of a sudden, the lines of code disppear. As this happens, a white-bordered square appears as parts of the word "DEFY" start to "turn on", like lights (but the letter E has no back, just 3 lines, the top and bottom are the same size, and the middle one is smaller). The word "MEDIA" appears when the parts of the word "DEFY" form, but the letters appear in the same way as "DEFY". When the logo is completely formed, the all the lines of code have disappeared, and all we see is the logo. The logo then fades out.

Variants:

On the trailer for SMOSH: The Movie, a slightly bigger still version is seen.
There is a normal-sized still version, which can be seen on the web series Part Timers. The logo is also superimposed on the credits.

FX/SFX: The purple glow, lines of code appearing and disappearing, and the logo forming.

Music/Sounds: A robotic noise is heard when the lines of code appear, but stops when the logo is forming.

Availability: Brand new. Seen on SMOSH: The Movie and I Am Chris Farley.

Logo: Among the red hellish clouds, we see a silhouette of the devil rising and letting flames out of his mouth. In the same time, the fire forms the circle around the devil, then turning metal. The devil becomes still picture with stylized flames fading in. The name appears below:

Logo: On a black background is a red model of an ancient Aztec (or Mayan) pyramid. Six 3D letters move from the sides and create the word "IXTLAN" over the pyramid.

Availability: Seen at the end of Natural Born Killers and Any Given Sunday, among others. Also seen on the television series Wild Palms.

Nickname: "The Square"

Logo:On a black background, we see a red square slowly fading in, crossed with four lines in all directions. Part of the diagonal line is not finished. The squares flashes and the words "infinitum nihil" appear at the top and bottom of the square in a typewriter effect.

FX/SFX: The typing of the text.

Music/Sounds: A whoosh sound, followed by an explosion, and a typewriter sound as the words type in.

Availability: Uncommon. Seen on Hugo and The Rum Diary.

Logo: A 3D steel word "KEYSTONE" zooms out to the screen and shines. Then "ENTERTAINMENT" floats from below. The "T" letter expands its head to fit the whole logo width.

Music/Sounds: A soft orchestral tune.

Availability: Was seen on White Tiger, Air Bud and its numerous dog-themed sequels and offsprings.

Nickname: "The Lone Star"

Logo: On a cloudy sky, we see a brown circle inside a yellow star zooming in. The words "LONE STAR PRODUCTIONS" are written inside the circle to fit in. This logo was originally seen in black and white, but was colorized around 1990 by Color Systems Technologies.

Variant: This also had a "The End" variant, featuring the words "The End" inside the circle, in a cursive font, and under it the words "A LONE STAR PICTURE" in a fancy-looking serif font.

FX/SFX: The zooming.

Music/Sounds: The opening of the movie.

Availability: Was seen on Sagebrush Trail with John Wayne. All of the early John Wayne films made by this company are shown on occasion on TCM, AMC, and Encore Westerns in the original black and white (the circa 1985 Fox Lorber prints and 1990 colorized prints by Color Systems Technologies are colorized). Most of the films are on public domain DVDs sourced from old 16mm film prints.

Logo: Over a sloppily-painted multicolored background, there's a tea green TV tube drawn so that it looks turned 45 degrees counterclockwise. The word "Modern" in a fancy font and in warm gray is situated over the tube, and below it to the right are the words "SOUND PICTURES" in a square font, and "INCORPORATED" in a much smaller face below that. The words "A KEITH T. SMITH" and "RELEASE" appear above and below "SOUND PICTURES", respectively.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The closing music of the film or silence.

Availability: Ultra rare. Only known to be seen on the shortened cut of Santa and the Three Bears.
