Background: KidVision started initially as a kids' label of WarnerVision Entertainment in 1993. KidVision mainly distributed most kids movies and TV series, such as The Magic School Bus and the original VHS release of Gumby: The Movie. In 1997, KidVision moved under Warner Home Video, and continued to distribute Magic School Bus videos until March 1998. However, from January 1999 until April 2002, they would be distributed by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and some distributed in tandem with KidVision. The label was discontinued at the end of 2002 after their last title, The Magic School Bus: Holiday Special, was released.

2nd Logo
(1994-2002)

Nickname: "The Chalkboard"

Logo: On a gradient white-gray leather background, we see a black chalkboard. A white piece of chalk comes flying in the picture and writes out "Kid Vision". As it is done writing, the chalk draws a red rectangle around the text, and a shooting star flies across the text from left to right, coloring the text.

FX/SFX: The chalk writing.

Music/Sounds: The chalk pressing against the board and a twinkling sound when the comet flies by. This is sometimes accompanied by a bus beeping (found on Magic School Bus tapes), or a male voice saying "KidVision" (found on some Kidsongs tapes).

Availability: Seen on VHS releases of The Magic School Bus, The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley, Shining Time Station, and later installments of Kidsongs, as well as Gumby: The Movie and the There Goes A... series.
