Kazakhfilm (Kazakhstan)

Background: Kazakhfilm is the main film studio of former Kazakh Soviet Republic and modern Kazakhstan. Started in 1934 as "Alma-Ata Cinema Chronicle Studio" and since 1941 began to produce feature films. During the war it harbored the evacuated Mosfilm and Lenfilm equipment and continued film shooting. In 1960 the studio renamed to "Kazakhfilm".

Logo: The underlined name "КАЗАХФИЛЬМ" appears over a stylized frame with mountain outline. The year mark may appear below.

Variant: The name was translated to Kazakh language, resulting in “K” and "X" change to its local analogue “Қ”.

Availability: Uncommon, but not rare. Saved on old Soviet films.
