Background: This company was formed in 2010 under the name Millennium Entertainment, serving as the distribution unit of Nu Image and its Millennium Films subsidiary, as well as the successor to First Look Studios. In 2014, Millennium Entertainment was spun-off from Nu Image and renamed Alchemy. Unfortunately, the company went bankrupt only a year after formation due to acquiring Anderson Digital and ANconnect, which gave them too many new clients to handle. The many financial troubles and staff mismanagement that prevailed resulted in the company imploding on June 30, 2016. They filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy soon afterwards.
