1st Logo
(1999-2002, 2003-2011)
Nickname: Whirlwind
Logo: We see a blue tinged shot of the American flag waving in the background. On the right side is a rotating shot of a satellite dish (one of those big dishes seen near the front or side of a news station building). As the satellite dish fades from view, the "O" in "BELO" starts to shine. Underneath the name is a byline that says "[Call sign of news station]is a BELO SUBSIDIARY".
Variant: The background might have a teal.
FX/SFX: TBA
Music/Sounds: A soothing synth drone with a cymbal stinger.
Availability: Extinct.
Editor's Note: None.
2nd Logo
(2002-2011)
Logo: We are showing various images relating to news journalism (though a shot of a little girl and a female firefighter are shown in the montage as well). The shot concludes with the same BELO setup from the first logo, random network mentioned as a subsidiary and the New York Stock Exchange symbol mentioned below that.
FX/SFX: The montage of moving images (including the moving satellite dish from the first logo). The shining "O".
Music/Sounds: A piano fanfare that has an upbeat 4-note flourish. There is also a lengthy voiceover explaining why said BELO-owned network is important to the community.
Availability: Extinct.
Editor's Note: None.
3rd Logo
