Flip the Frog
Background: Flip the Frog is a cartoon series produced by Celebrity Productions and distributed through Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from 1930 to 1933. The series had a total of 38 episodes.
(1930-1933)
Logo: In black background, are the titles "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer presents" with "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer" in its own corporate font. Below the name of the character and Flip himself playing the piano. The titles fades to the main episode title card.
FX/SFX: Flip playing the piano.
Cheesy Factor: Flip the Frog in the opening is annoying.
Music/Sounds: Probably the theme of a short.
Availability: If you find it, then you're as lucky as everyone can get. It's way, way, way, WAAAY too hard to find.
Scare Factor: None if you ignore the scratchy prints.

Background: From 1933 to 1934, MGM distributed "Willie Whopper" cartoons that were produced by Celebrity Productions. The series only had 13 episodes.
(1933-1934)
Logo: In a sunburst background, are the words "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer presents" and below, in huge fonts, "WILLIE WHOPPER". Underneath, Willie Whopper himself and the secondary MGM logo.
FX/SFX: None as far as we know.
Music/Sounds: The opening theme of a short.
Availability: Extinct.
Scare Factor: Minimal.
