Logo captures by Eric S. and Sagan Blob
1st Logo
(1978-1981)
Nickname: "CiP"
Logo: On a black background, we see a C, connected to an i next to it, which is sticking down, and a reversed C appears next to the i which resembles a P. It's all in gold, and in 3-D. They're reminiscent of the Columbia Pictures Television "Pretzel" logo and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Connecticut Public Television logos.
Variant: On Halloween, there is text above the logo:
Everything is 2-D and in a yellow-orange color.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: The beginning of a movie's theme.
Availability: Can be seen on Compass International releases such as Halloween and The Day Time Ended.
Editor's Note: None.
Logo: On a blue background, a compass zooms out to top left, which later fades out to the CiP from the previous logo, but this time in white, along with the text "Compass International Pictures" wipes next to it. The logo goes down, leaves a couple of trails, which later the center trail wipes out to give place for a black arrow that reads "A New Direction", and a rectangle with a half forefinger-pointing hand in the right, which the rectangle reads "ON COURSE FOR THE 80's AND BEYOND!", which both slide from left to right, in each turn.
