Debian

Background: Debian is one of the most popular Linux distributions, developed by the Debian Project. The first Debian beta (0.01) was released around August 1993, with the first stable OS to be released about 3 years later. Debian is home to many child distributions, one of them being Ubuntu, which is itself home to more child distributions, some of which being Linux Mint, Zorin OS, and even Google's own Chromium OS.
