1st Logo
(1998?-1999)

Logo: Over a backdrop full of skyscrapers, we see a close-up of a typical Fox structure, but has the 1997 FX logo on top with eight searchlights surrounding it (two in front, two on the sides and four from behind). The camera zooms out until the entire tower is on screen. The registered trademark "®" symbol and the copyright notice "© [YEAR] FX NETWORKS, LLC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED" below fades in.

FX/SFX: The camera zoom-out, the searchlights, and the text fading in.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show or generic network theme.

Availability: This would appear on FX shows at the time, such as the short-lived series Penn & Teller's Sin City Spectacular.

2nd Logo
(1999-September 12, 2000)


Logo: On a black background, we see parts of the 1997-2007 FX logo spread out forming the FX logo with a white glow. There's a copyright notice appeared below reading: "© 2000 FX NETWORKS, LLC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED".

Variants:
  • On few episodes, the logo is stretched.
  • There is also a long version.

FX/SFX: The spreading.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: It's seen on the first season of Son of the Beach and The Dick & Paula Celebrity Special.

3rd Logo
(March 13-July 17, 2001)


Logo: On a black/blue background, we see the blue 1997-2007 FX logo with a glass effect rotation. The box has the searchlights cut out in it. Below it is the same copyright notice of the previous logo appearing.

FX/SFX: The logo rotating.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: It's seen on the second season of Son of the Beach.

4th Logo
(March 12, 2002-2003)

Logo: On a black background, we see a light that reveals the 1997-2007 FX logo from the period zooming in. Appearing below is copyright information that reads "© TM [year] Twentieth Century Fox and its related entities."

Variants:
  • On later shows, the zoom-in is in warp speed, and the X have a shadow zoom-in effect. Plus the copyright information is more darker and fits to the logo.
  • Same as above, but on a green background and the searchlights are white and blue. Appears on the Season 3 of Son of The Beach.
  • On the TV movie RFK, the logo is more bigger, zooms in slowly, and doesn't have any effects on the X.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Uncommon. It's seen on all FX shows and TV movies from 2002-2003 such as Son of The Beach and The Shield.

Variants:
  • On the TV movie The Pentagon Papers, "In Association With" is seen below the logo.
  • A weird stretched full screen variant is seen on the second season of The Shield. On widescreen prints, the logo is stretched.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show or none.

Availability: Extinct. This is seen on FX shows aired from 2003 to 2005 such as The Shield and Trash to Cash.

Logo: On a black background, we see two letters "FX" as well as the FX logo zooming out looking distorted at first, then assembling into the order of the FX logo. It shines whilst zooming out even slower than before.

Logo Variant: On some programs there is no byline included.

FX/SFX: The text forming. The zoom-out.

Music/Sounds: A whoosh sound.

Availability: Seen on every show that aired on FX in 2004-2005 including Season 1 of Rescue Me.

Logo: On a dark/green background, we see 4 copies of the 1997-2007 FX logo spinning like a wheel. The background zooms-out to reveal a FX logo with lights. There's a copyright information appeared below that reads "© [year] FX Networks, LLC. All Rights Reserved."

Variants:
  • In 2006, tons of X letters were added on the background. Seen on the 2nd season of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
  • Same as above, but the animation was modified a bit. The X letters are on a light green background and the spinning of the logos is more faster and barely seen. 3 FX logos fade out a few seconds later and the background become more darker. There's also any zoom-out. Seen on 2006-2008 shows.
  • Same as above, but in a stretched 4:3 version. Seen on season 5 episodes of The Shield.

FX/SFX: The zoom-out, the lights, the FX logos spinning, and the Xs added later.

Music/Sounds: 6 fast-paced techno drumbeat notes followed by a wind-like sound. In other cases, the ending theme of the show. Some season 3 episodes of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia have the first note cut off.

Availability: Uncommon. This is seen on every FX show and TV movie aired from 2005-2008 such as The Shield, Thief, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The Riches, and Dirt. On international airings of the former and the latter show, this logo was removed in favor of the Sony Pictures Television International logo and the 2006 Buena Vista International Television logo.

8th Logo
(April 14, 2008-April 2, 2013)

Logo: We see a few copies of the 2007-2013 FX logo from the period floating and spinning around, and the camera is positioned close to this. We see another shot of this happening. As we only get a glimpse of this, a white 2D FX logo then spins to the center of the screen and facing the viewer on a dark background with a whitish-bluish light shining in the bottom-right corner. We also see shadows of the FX logos floating and spinning in the background as well. Copyright information appears below that reads "© [year] FX Networks, LLC. All Rights Reserved."

FX/SFX: The spinning of the logos. Tons of spinning.

Music/Sounds: A 3-note deep synth tune.

Music/Sounds Variants:
  • On the season 5 premiere of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, entitled "The Gang Exploits the Mortgage Crisis", the logo is high-pitched, along with the 3 Arts Entertainment, RCG, and FX Productions logos.
  • On the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia episodes "How Mac Got Fat" and "The Gang Recycles Their Trash", it used the 2007 FX Productions logo's music, due to a reverse plaster error.

Availability: Uncommon. It's seen on all shows produced by FX Productions from 2008 to 2013, but FX might not really air 2008 reruns of one of their original shows, and FXX doesn't really air 2008 reruns of FX shows. It could probably appear on 2008 FX reruns on Hulu, Netflix, or anything else.

9th Logo
(April 3, 2013-September 2019)

Logo: Same as before, but with improved CGI and 3D animation. The logo is now blue on a background with a blue light shining greatly at the center. There are no shadows. The logo shown is the new 2013 FX logo, with the "F" and "X" attached to each other.

FX/SFX: Same as before, but now the logo flies to the center while spinning.

Music/Sounds: Same as before, or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Common. This is seen on all shows produced by FX Productions between 2013 and 2019. This is seen on all of not only new episodes of original FX shows, but also original FXX shows, as FXX itself replaced Fox Soccer on September 2, 2013.

10th Logo
(March 2, 2020- )

Logo: On a black background, the camera quickly pans around to see the FX logo forming, with various different abstract scenes being projected onto the logo. As it finishes forming, the word "F E A R L E S S" fades onto the screen, before then quickly fading out. The FX logo, now a blue color, fades out soon after.

FX/SFX: The FX logo forming on screen, the scenes being projected onto the logo.

Music/Sounds: A simple, synthetic two note theme.
