Background: One Three Media was founded in April 2011 as a joint media and production venture between Mark Burnett and Hearst Entertainment, specializing in creating television and web content. In September 2014, MGM acquired a 55% stake of One Three Media and folded it into United Artists Media Group.
(February 16, 2011-May 21, 2014)
Logo: A light flare reveals a "1" (stylized as the letter "I") and a number "3" on a gray background with white flooring, with a spotlight shinning on the numbers. Then, an "O" and slides from the left of the "1", and the letters "NE" slides from the right of the same number. The same thing happens to the "3", whereas a "THR" slides from the left from the "3", and an "E" slides from the right of the same number. The resulting product is seen like this:
"MEDIA" turns to the right of "THR3E" and is stylized sideways. A banner turns up from the bottom of the logo and reads, "A HEARST/MARK BURNETT COMPANY". The logo shines.
FX/SFX: The turning and sliding, as well as the light flare at the beginning.
Music/Sounds: None or a generic theme (and a voice over) on NBC, ABC or CBS.
Availability: Common. It should be seen on Survivor, Shark Tank, and The Voice episodes from this era. It's currently retained on 2011-2014 season episodes of Shark Tank on CNBC.
Editor's Note: None.
